School Uniform

Uniform

In Pre School and Nursery

There is no requirement for children to wear uniform in Pre-School or Nursery, however many children do wear the school sweatshirt or cardigan. Please do not send children to Nursery in their best clothes as many activities are messy. The children also spend a lot of time doing activities outdoors so it is important that children always have a coat and wellies in school.

In Reception and Key Stage 1

GREY pinafore, skirt or trousers, long or short
ROYAL BLUE V neck sweatshirt/cardigan with School logo WHITE shirt or polo shirt
ROYAL BLUE tie with double white stripes (Optional) GREY socks with trousers WHITE socks with dresses/skirts or GREY tights in winter. Suitable flat heeled BLACK shoes Suitable outdoor coat

SUMMER TERM ONLY
Girls may wear a PALE BLUE AND WHITE checked dress and a Royal blue Cardigan with
School logo.

For P.E.
Royal blue round necked T shirt with School logo, navy shorts and slip on black plimsolls.

All clothing must be clearly named.

The uniform can be obtained at most local clothes shops. Sweatshirts with the School name are available from “Identity” in Barrow.

HAIR: Long hair should be tied back for health and safety, particularly in PE. Extreme
haircuts are discouraged, for example hair should be no shorter than a number 2 cut and no patterns should be cut into the scalp.

EARRINGS:  these can be dangerous in School as they can be caught when dressing and undressing. WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT EARRINGS ARE NOT WORN IN SCHOOL. THEY
CANNOT BE WORN DURING PE AND SWIMMING. This also applies to all other items of
jewellery.

The Blue Cardigan/Jumper are the only items of clothing where it is compulsory to have a badge.

In School we also have a 2nd Hand Uniform Shop where donations are made by parents. A number of items of differing sizes are available and there is no cost unless parents choosing the items would like to contribute a small donation, but this is not compulsory.
