Our Governors
Meet the Govenors
Kelly Lupton
Chair
I am committed to ensuring our children have a positive learning experience and am an enthusiastic member of the Governing Body. I know the importance and impact good teaching can have on a child. My own interest is Science, which was nurtured in primary school and led to me obtaining a chemistry degree. I have mainly been involved in improvement projects, eliminating waste and developing strategic implementation plans. I aim to provide constructive support and robust challenge to the School.
Joy Lowes
Vice Chair
I have lived in Dalton for 30 years and my children attended Chapel Street Infants and George Romney Junior Schools. I am also Chair of Governors at George Romney Junior School as well as being a governor at Chapel Street for a number of years. This role gives me greater opportunity to work with Mr. Macmillan, the staff and most importantly, the children and the wider community.
As a governing body I would like to think that not only do we have a responsibility for the effectiveness of the school but we also have a passion for the children to succeed and achieve their full potential
